My first feature work was done on The Ant Bully at DNA Productions.
It was a really enjoyable experience integrating a new hair and cloth department into the existing pipeline that was used for The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
As a go-between for the rest of the pipeline, I worked with every other department to make sure our assets were being passed along correctly without causing any headaches for the Lighters and Renderers.
We developed a Maya hair setup and used Syflex cloth for the production. And I worked closely with the company's guests from Side Effects Software to help train the crew to use Houdini.
Before shifting into Animation Finaling and Technical Animation, I was a Modeler and Rigger doing some pre-visualization tests such as an "ant vision" camera that would shift the scene's geometry into abstract shapes with the camera's movement, and a procedural pillar generator for Houdini that would quickly create random pillar shapes for the subterranean scenes.
